Goshen’s Fountain of Nutrition and Health advocates and implements the breast-feeding program in Mukono and Kayunga districts and has plans to expand to the rest of the country. Goshen’s chooses to promote support and protect breast feeding. The aim of this program is to advocate for and increase awareness on interventions that promote, support and protect appropriate Infant and Young Child Feeding practices at all levels. Goshen’s dedicated the first week of August 2018 to commemorate the World Breastfeeding Week (WBW). Goshen’s has sustained this program by establishing community breast feeding support groups; Carrying out support supervision; In service training (Staff trained on community breast feeding);Training community volunteers; Carrying out Home visits; supporting infant feeding in the HIV context and Support infant feeding in emergency situations and refugee camps. Goshen’s hopes to start a breastfeeding support center at its headquarters.
